Perfect for young pottery enthusiasts; this teens pottery wheel-throwing course will enable your teenager to learn how to wheel throw a range of shapes. Gaining hands on experience that will stay with them forever in a small class with their own wheel. Making pieces that can be used is an incredible confidence booster! Learning to wheel-throw can be used as a skill for the Duke of Edinburgh award.
 
Over the course, they will learn essential techniques like clay preparation, centring on the wheel, throwing a range of shapes including a mug, matcha bowl, a bubble pot and trinket bowl plus turning and trimming, and adding handles. 
 
Each piece created will be fired and ready to collect within a month after the course end date, giving you lasting mementos of the pottery journey or as unique gifts made by their own hand.
 
Simply select the dates your teen would like to join and add to cart or do the full 5 session course (12th July, 13th Sept, 11th Oct, 15th Nov and 13th Dec 2026) at a discounted rate. Plus siblings receive a 10% discount. If a date doesn’t appear, that session is fully booked, so please check other dates for open spots or get in touch with Gemma to find out when the next course is due to start. Course duration: Monthly sessions on Sunday afternoons, 2 hours per session
From Age 12 - 19yrs
Number of participants: maximum 8 - Everyone will get their own wheel
Session cost: £60 per person. Siblings receive a 10% discount at checkout.
Includes:  2-hour class, use of electric potter's wheel, clay, tools, apron, refreshments (water, squash, biscuits), 3 pieces of pottery fired and glazed for collection.
Excludes: Any additional pieces glazing, firing at £5 per piece. Costs for shipping if needed and unable to collect.
 
If you can't make one of the dates, don't worry just let us know the date and you can do a catch up session.
