Welcome to the Gemma Wightman Ceramics Studio!
Join us in our beautiful, light-filled space to discover the art of wheel throwing. Whether you're a beginner or looking to expand your skills, there is a course tailored for you. Learn the magic of the potter’s wheel under the expert guidance of experienced ceramicist Gemma Wightman, passionate about sharing her craft. Dive into the joy of making with your own hands and create pieces you’ll be proud of, all in our brand new state-of-the-art studio designed to inspire. We can’t wait to welcome you!

All classes are for adults only (apart from some one-off parent and child workshops, which will be announced via the email newsletter).
Choose between a private or group class and find the perfect fit for your pottery journey. Our group classes are small and intimate, with a maximum of 6 adults per class, ensuring you receive the attention you need to progress quickly and confidently on the wheel. Whether you're starting fresh or building on skills, you’ll get plenty of guidance in our friendly, supportive setting. For those looking for a more personalised experience, private classes are also available.
Things to note
What's included:
All teaching, use of tools, materials, firings and glazing, plus refreshments (Water, Tea, Coffee and biscuits). Also included are the finished pots you make, the amount depends on the course you do. See detailed course descriptions for specifics.

The studio is situated in the garden of Gemma’s home: Lavender Cottage, Send Marsh Road, GU23 7DG

Parking
There are a few spaces on the driveway or parking is free on Maysfield road opposite or on Send Marsh Road (it’s advisable to park at the Send end of Send Marsh Road on the stretch of road outside the old church rather than outside the house as it’s on a bend)

Entrance to the studio is through the locked side gate to the right of the house. Press the ring doorbell to gain access.
Collecting pieces after class:
Your glazed works of art will be available to collect within 1 month after the end of your course or class. Contact Gemma to arrange a suitable time for collection at least 2 weeks after the date of your last session.

Pieces will be kept for 3 months only from the date of your last session due to limited storage space.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations more than 30 days before the start of the workshop can receive a 50% refund. No refund will be possible within 30 days of the start of the workshop.
